There are several options for investment to gaining citizenship in Antigua and Barbuda.
To qualify for citizenship, you can either make a donation of $230,000 to the National Development Fund (NDF) or purchase real estate on the island starting from $300,000, invest in a university or a business.
Option 1 / $230,000 — Non-refundable contribution to the National Development Fund (NDF)
The program features the most cost-effective route to acquiring a second citizenship for the whole family through a government donation of $230,000.
The same donation amount would be required if an investor applies alone.
Contribution to the National Development Fund (NDF) is non-refundable.
Option 2 / $300,000 — Investment in real estate
Investor can acquire a share in tourism infrastructure, such as hotels or luxury resorts. During ownership, the real estate can be rented out, generating an income of 2 to 5% annually. After 5 years, the object can be profitably sold while retaining the citizenship.
Option 3 / $260,000 for a family of six (6) or more - University of the West Indies (UWI)Fund
The University of the West Indies Fund (UWI) option is a mechanism for financing UWI’s fourth landed campus.
Minimum number of persons per application is 6. US$260,000 contribution (inclusive of processing fees) for a family of 6. Processing Fees: US$15,000 for each additional dependent for families of 7 or more.
Participation in the option will entitle one member of the family to a one year, tuition only, scholarship at the University of the West Indies.
Option 4 / From US$1,500,000 - Business Investment (BI)
The two business investment options are (business can be existing or proposed):
A principal applicant, on his own behalf, makes an investment in an approved business of at least US$1,500,000
A minimum of 2 persons to make a joint investment in an approved business totaling at least US$ 5,000,000. Each person is required to contribute at least US$400,000 to the joint investment.
